Can I get my trees trimmed in July?

Well, it depends.

In the UK, February to August is the bird nesting season. Many species of domestic birds are in serious decline and are therefore protected by the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. This law prevents birds being disturbed during their nesting season.

The summer is also when greenery is at it’s most splendid. If you planted that tree years ago, this is when you get to enjoy it.

If you have concerns about a tree on your property, please call us. If the tree is blocking light or views, it may be possible to solve the problem with a gentle trim. If the tree is causing a danger to people or property, this can be dealt with as an emergency. We can advise.

The best time to make major changes to trees is during the autumn and winter. We are very happy to take advance bookings for this period. You have the peace of mind in knowing that your important work is booked in and will go ahead as planned.

Our tree surgeons are fully trained and we are fully insured for the work that we do.

Greyhound Tree and Garden Services help you, and the birds, make the most of your trees.
